Science and Humanities

A new planet looms unexpectedly into the solar system. It has been drifting though space for millions of years. Why has it come to the solar system now? Could it support alien life? Is it intelligent? What does it want from the solar system - and Earth in particular? Our space scientists must study the planet's pathway through the solar system, project its trajectory to discover whether it will hit Earth, design a flight to take scientists there to discover life and deal with what they find. In addition to exploring the solar system the day will include space flight and adaptations to different environments.
