Work with a met man for a day to produce a real forecast from live information. What causes weather? Why is it so different in different parts of the world? Why is it so changeable in the UK? You will learn how forecasts are put together and make a real forecast for the course day using live satellite information and historical data. Then the student TV stars can present the forecast, and make a short video.

Learning Outcome: Specific measurements related to forecasting, atmospheric pressure, temperature, air movement, influence of other factors e.g. gulf stream, isobars, fronts, forecasting techniques, video presentation.
