Through this course the students will find out what it was like to have the plague and what diseases have caused the most human suffering and death. They will learn how to measure the health of a population, the risks to modern life and how to overcome them! Understand the history of the plague and the differences between bacteria and viruses.

Learning Outcome: The difference between bacteria and viruses and the characteristics of the diseases they cause, history and characteristics of the plague, food poisoning.
