Murder in the Monastery

Solve a medieval mystery using middle age forensic science. Abbot John is found dying at the foot of the church stairs, was he pushed or did he fall? As well as forensic clues, there are interviews conducted by the church’s representative. The chief witnesses and suspects are played by the pupils - be a medieval monk, innkeeper's wife or even the murderer! Cross curricular activities involve interpreting a note written in Medieval English, examining the murder weapon for clues and making your own impression of a medieval ring.
