In Business is designed to provide students with a link between the science of product discovery, its production and marketing - just like in Dragons' Den. Students work in the laboratory, using modern genetics technology, to discover a new product of pharmaceutical or environmental importance and then, working in groups, develop a marketing strategy that they present to the whole class and some dragons. The dragons judge the validity of their proposal and select a winner. Since products are likely to be controversial in use e.g. genetic screening, students must take public relations issues into consideration.
